1. Stitch’s Ohana Word Match

stitch-birthday-party-games

Objective: Help kids break the ice and get to know one another by finding their perfect “Stitch Match” using fun, themed word cards.

Setup: Use our set of pre-made Lilo and Stitch Word Match Cards, available for purchase to save time and add a colorful, themed touch to your party. Each card features a word related to Lilo and Stitch (e.g., “Lilo” on one card and “Stitch” on the matching one, or “Ohana” and “Family”).

Make sure there’s one card per child, with each card having a unique matching pair.

How to Play: As guests arrive, hand out one card to each child. Once everyone has a card, explain that their mission is to find the person who holds the matching card. Once they’ve found their Stitch Match, they’ll introduce themselves and share either:

  • Their favorite Lilo and Stitch character,
  • Or what “ohana” means to them.

It’s a sweet, themed way to get kids chatting, smiling, and feeling like family right from the start!

Setup: Prepare several Hawaiian leis. Divide the children into two or more teams, and have them line up in rows.

How to Play: The first child in each line places a lei around their neck. They must pass the lei to the next person without using their hands, using only their neck and head. If the lei drops, they must start again. The first team to successfully pass the lei down the line and back wins.

Objective: Engage kids in a calming and creative activity while exploring the world of Lilo and Stitch through themed puzzles and coloring fun.

Setup: Create a quiet area with tables and chairs where children can sit comfortably. Provide printed Lilo and Stitch coloring pages, mazes, and word searches—all available for purchase and instant download. Add markers, crayons, and pencils to the table along with optional extras like stickers or stamps.

How to Play: Kids visit the Creative Challenge Station during the party to relax and explore the different printable activities. They can color their favorite characters, solve mazes, and tackle word searches at their own pace.

This station works perfectly as a calming down activity or a break between more energetic games. Everyone gets to take their finished pages home as a keepsake!

Objective: Avoid being tagged by the “Alien Catcher” while collecting space gems.

Setup: Scatter shiny or glowing “space gems” (small balls or glow sticks) around the play area. Designate one child as the “Alien Catcher” (the tagger) and others as “Space Explorers.”

How to Play: The Alien Catcher tries to tag the Space Explorers, who are collecting as many space gems as possible. Once tagged, a player must freeze in place with their gem until another explorer tags them to unfreeze. The game ends when all gems are collected or a set time limit is reached. The player with the most gems wins.

5. Lilo Says

stitch-birthday-party-games

Objective: Follow Lilo’s commands — but only when she actually says “Lilo Says”! The goal is to stay in the game by listening carefully and responding only to the right cues.

Setup: Print the ready-made “Lilo Says” command sheet, which feature fun, themed instructions like “Lilo Says do the hula dance!” or “Lilo Says surf like Stitch!” Gather the children in an open space where they can move around freely.

How to Play: One person (an adult or older child) acts as Lilo, holding the command cards and calling out the actions. If a command begins with “Lilo Says,” the kids must do the action. But if the command is given without “Lilo Says,” anyone who follows it is out for that round!

For example:

  • Lilo Says spin like a UFO!” everyone spins.
  • “Clap your hands!” anyone who claps is out.

Keep playing until one child remains — they become the next “Lilo,” or you can start a new round so more kids can join in. The game is fast-paced, silly, and encourages both focus and laughter.

7. Pin the Nose on Stitch

stitch-birthday-party-games

Objective: Have fun trying to pin Stitch’s nose in the right spot while blindfolded — closest match wins!

Setup: Download and print the 17″ x 11″ “Pin the Nose on Stitch” poster and the matching numbered noses (1–20) — available for purchase. Hang the poster at eye level on a wall. Cut out the noses and write each child’s name on the back of the nose they’ll use. You’ll also need tape or reusable adhesive and a blindfold.

How to Play: One at a time, blindfold a player and gently spin them in place 2–3 times. Hand them their numbered nose with adhesive ready. They must try to stick the nose on Stitch’s face where they think it belongs — no peeking!

Once everyone has had a turn, remove the blindfold and compare the placements. The nose closest to the correct spot wins a small prize or gets crowned the Nose Master of Ohana!

Objective: Knock down all the pins using a “coconut.”

Setup: Set up bowling pins (or decorated water bottles) in a triangle formation. Use a brown ball as the “coconut.” Alternatively, get this 12 piece Pineapple Bowling Set. It will make a lovely gift for the birthday child!

How to Play: Each child gets two rolls to knock down as many pins as possible. Keep score, and the child with the highest number of pins knocked down after everyone has had a turn wins.

9. Lilo and Stitch Charades

Objective: Act out words or phrases related to Lilo and Stitch without speaking, while others try to guess what you’re portraying!

Setup: Use the pre-made Lilo and Stitch Charades Cards available for purchase and download. These cards feature a variety of actions, characters, and scenes inspired by the beloved movie — perfect for fans of all ages. You’ll also need a timer (a phone works great) and a space where kids can move around.

How to Play: Divide the children into two teams (or let them take turns if playing in a small group). One child draws a charade card and silently acts out the word or phrase on it. No talking, sound effects, or pointing to objects!

Their team has 1–2 minutes to guess what they’re acting out. If they guess correctly within the time, they score a point. Alternate turns between teams or players. The team with the most points at the end wins!

Setup: Make or purchase an exercise balance board.

How to Play: Children take turns standing on the “surfboard” and balancing. The longer they stay on without falling, the better. To make it more challenging, introduce tasks like clapping or keeping hands up in the air, while balancing on the board. The child who balances the longest wins.

Objective: Jump the farthest or highest while pretending to be in zero gravity.

Setup: Mark a starting line and provide a soft landing area, like a mat or grass. You can also set up a vertical target (like a hanging streamer) for a height challenge.

How to Play: Children take turns running and jumping as far as they can from the starting line, or jumping to reach the height target. Measure the distance or height of each jump. The child with the farthest or highest jump wins. To make it more fun, encourage the kids to jump in creative “alien” styles, just like Stitch might!
