Days before the scheduled hunt, I gather around the kitchen table with a stack of paper, pens, and a cup of hot cocoa. Each clue is carefully crafted, a poetic riddle or a playful hint designed to guide my family through the labyrinth of our home.Â

3. Hiding The Treasures
With the clues printed or neatly written and sealed in envelopes, the next task is strategically placing the treasures throughout the house.
 I place the first clue just under the Christmas tree. If you’re using my free printable, I have suggested the location for each clue.
4. Announcing The Hunt
It’s the day when the Christmas gifts are opened. As the family gathers in the living room, I announce the commencement of our Christmas scavenger hunt. Enthusiastic cheers and laughter fill the air as everyone eagerly grabs the first clue. The hunt is on!
5. Unwrapping Joy
With each clue unraveled, the excitement builds. Laughter echoes through the rooms, stairs and corridors as family members collaborate, deciphering riddles and dashing from one room to the next. The final clue is strategically placed in one of our shared spaces.
